The Director General of Amirabad Ports and Maritime Affairs on themost important port and maritime measures within last year: we had 104% growth in rail transit and a 400% increase in investment in this port.
Mohammad Ali Asl Saeedipoor stated: Last year, about 2.4 million tons of goods were handled in Bandar Amirabad, of which about 1.9 million tons were related to unloaded goods and another 500,000 tons were related to loading and exporting goods.
The Director General of Amirabad Ports and Maritime highlighted the availability of an internal railway network and its connection to the national railway network, and said: with the current unique capacity among the northern ports of the country, rail transit of Goods in this port have grown by 104% and reached to about 70,000 tons.
Saeedipoor continued: last year in the investment sector, with the realization of 400% of the proposed investment, the total investment plans by the private sector was 17 thousand and 73 billion Rls., of which 9 thousand and 228 billion Rls. were exploited and the rest is under development.
